‘Analytical equipment
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) |
 |
High
Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is widely used for analysis
for material separation as well as gas chromatography (GC). It is
used to analyze compounds which can be dissolved in solvent including
involatile compounds. We have nine Waters HPLCs (Alliance 2695 with
UV detector and photodiode array detector) and three Shimadzu HPLCs.

| ‘Gas chromatography (GC) system |
 |
In
addition to liquid chromatography, gas chromatography is commonly
used in material separation analysis due to its high separation
performance. It is suitable for volatile materials and so we use
it for testing or quantification of purity.
Our company has five Shimadzu GC systems (GC-2010 and GC-14A) enabling the
use of capillary columns and packed columns and one Perkin-Elmer
GC.

| ‘Thermo analytical equipment |
 |
Thermo
analysis is an analytical method defined as a series of techniques
to measure the physical properties of a material (or reactive product) as a fraction of temperature (or time) by changing the
temperature of the material according to a certain program. Our company has
Rigaku thermo Analytical equipment (ThermoPlus2 TG-DTA, DSC) enabling
us to perform thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, differential thermal
analysis (DTA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Combined
with IR and powder X ray diffractometer, it can be used for the
evaluation of crystal polymorphs.

| ‘X ray diffractometer |
 |
The
composition of a specimen can be quickly identified by an X ray
diffractometer. Even though it consists of mixed multiple components,
it can distinguish one compound from another. Additionally, various
properties can be explored. Our company has a Rigaku X ray diffractometer
(RINT-UltimaII) and it is used with IR and thermo analysis systems
for evaluation of crystal polymorphs.

| ‘Optical rotation measurement system |
 |
The
optical rotation measurement system is a device to measure the optical
rotation of optically active materials. Optical rotation is the
angle of rotation when optically active materials or their solvents
rotate around the polarization plane. Our company has a high-speed, high-sensitivity
optical rotation meter (SEPA-3000) made by Horiba.
